Operational Excellence As a manager within the Networking team you will be expected to drive operational excellence in everything we do. This includes creating sane processes and procedures to improve efficiency in our day-to-day tasks and projects. You will drive standards across the network and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies. You will work closely on supporting our internal customers and ensuring that their needs and issues are being addressed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant degree/experience · 5 years of relevant engineering experience · 5 years people management experience or relevant leadership experience, managing a team of 8 individual contributors. · 3 years of Past experience with network operations either as a manager or individual contributor. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Depth of experience creating and implementing high quality, high volume recruiting plans · Experience contributing to the creation and implementation of high quality, high volume recruiting plans · Experience presenting root cause analysis and error correction from operational events to senior management · Working knowledge and experience of developing operational metrics · Working knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, Routing/Switching & Troubleshooting) · Experience representing your team/technical area to senior management · In-depth knowledge of Networking · Experience in contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment · Experience in agile management methodologies · Experience with lean methodologies and Six-Sigma or similar qualification · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
