Our client located in Sunshine North is one of Australia's leading manufacturers of aluminum and hardox Tipper bodies and trailers. Our client has played an integral part and innovation within the transport industry and has an exciting position for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team!
The Role:
Design heavy transport vehicles for the tipping industry in Solidworks and Autocad
Consult with sales on combination requirements and vehicle specifications
Develop new vehicles to fill market gaps and promote innovation
Investigate production and product improvements and projects
Understand and consult on PBS requirements
Carry out product trouble shooting and components investigations
Analyse vehicle issues and collect technical information.
Prepare reports on issues and create production documentation to rectify issues
Direct workers to ensure that builds are built to plan and required standards.
Participate on quality improvement initiatives and projects
Liaise with suppliers on critical components and custom goods
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track in a similar role
Additionally, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering,
Extensive experience in a similar role
Sound knowledge of engineering standards,
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, and Design software such as SolidWorks or Autocad
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and in all forms
Friendly predisposition and a strong team player,
Exceptional work ethics and ability to work to organizational values
