Job requirements

Educational requirements: Bachelor

English requirements: Competent English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 3-5 years

Required residence status: Temporary visa, Permanent resident, Citizen

Accept remote work: unacceptable

Key responsibilities • Develop front end web application • Architect code base • Coordinate activities of junior and external developers • Ensure requirements and specifications are documented • Build testing harnesses and ensure industry best practices are followed • Report progress against project deliverables Selection criteria • Tertiary-level qualified with a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience • 2 years’ experience as a front-end develop • React JS ideally serverless with AWS Amplify infrastructure • Solid javascript coding experience with modern framework • Front end test experience such as Mocha, Jest • Advanced code revision control with Git • Experience with manipulating images in a web browser as well as handling scientific data formats such as DICOM and HDF5 an advantage • Some backend/devops expertise appreciated including development of microservices APIs • Experience working in an Agile environment • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner • Attention to detail and accuracy is a key component of the role • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to work as an effective and contributing team member
