Essential skills for the role are:
• 5 years’ experience in a Tech Lead / Solution Engineer / Digital Solution Architect or similar role: designing, developing, and supporting solutions across one or more application domains. • Hands on experience working as part of agile engineering teams providing detailed technical leadership. • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. • An ability to distil complex information into a clear and concise understanding. Including the ability to functionally decompose problems – identify how different functional needs will be met by a technology solution. • Ideally, you will have the ability to operate a different level of abstraction – from technical architecture design through to architecture strategy definition. • Good working knowledge and/or certification in current cloud-based technologies and solution patterns (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, REST, APIs, Data and Analytics Platforms). • Experience in building microservice and event-based digital solutions. • Experience in product selection and working with software vendors. • Solid understanding of financial services business and how technology solutions can support business outcomes. • An ability to produce quality project management and/or technical documentation. • Confidence to engage and collaborate with a range of stakeholders. • Knowledge and capability around contemporary development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and other continuous delivery concepts.
