Key job responsibilities & activities
• Providing leadership on projects including client liaison, design, technical documentation, report, design cost estimates, tender submission
• Undertaking geotechnical investigations and preparation of geotechnical engineering analyses and reports
• Designing all forms of geotechnical structures
• Reading maps, following directions, and interpreting engineering and construction plans.
• Applying an understanding of engineering principles in planning and designing to deliver innovative approaches to solving client problems • Have a sound understanding of geology and associated earthworks issues
• Managing projects, which involves clear briefs, time allocation, budgets and timelines are obtained or defined and agreed for each work assignment or package, and any changes to the brief or scope extensions are agreed with the Project Manager/Director
• Planning and managing work and resources to meet client deadlines and budgets with due allowance for technical and Project Director review to flag any issues early
• Managing client relationships through ensuring clear communication channels
• Leading and mentoring of junior staff Skills required for the role
