Due to extended growth, we are currently seeking a hard-working construction supervisor to join our talented and highly successful construction team. Reporting directly to the Building Manager, this role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the construction process of all dwellings and projects in the Western and South-Eastern suburbs.
About the Role:
Provide daily supervision of sites, suppliers, and trades.
Take ownership of jobs from commencement to completion.
Form professional relationships will clients, complete fortnightly updates, and provide on-site meeting opportunities.
Monitor quality of construction & ensure items are actioned accordingly.
Engage, coordinate & manage trades during the construction Process.
Schedule work and coordinate trades.
Communicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
Attend & contribute to weekly team meetings.
Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection & relevant documentation are signed off.
Ensure all company OH&S policies are always followed.
Maintain a strong eye for detail across the project from start to finish yet still working on timelines.
Offer support to other team members in solving problems and making decisions.
Keep call forward sheets up to date regularly.
Other tasks as directed.
You will require the following skills/ experiences:
Min 3 years of experience in local residential construction building/construction industry, legislation, and codes
Strong knowledge of building Standards & Tolerances, BSA's, OHS regulations, and QA systems
Trade qualification such as carpentry - Advantage but not required.
Must have construction White card.
Must have a current and valid Driver’s license.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
An ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong customer service focus.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proactive and self-motivated.
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
