Your new role
As an Project Engineer, you will get the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, undertaking engineering research, concept development, product analysis and design, product testing, manufacturing implementation, project management and client liaison. You will be working closely with our Sales and Marketing, Production and Engineering teams. You will also be providing our clients and customers with valuable project engineering and support.
Your daily tasks will be broad and varied and will involve but not be limited to:
Assisting in the management, coordination and administration of projects and specific packages of electrical, electronic, and mechanical design and engineering.
Working within a team environment to develop new products aligned with company growth strategies
Delivering projects within a defined scope, costs and schedule and ensuring the project is delivered within the safety, quality, and environmental objectives.
Working on anywhere between 5 – 15 projects simultaneously and developing scope documents aligned with engineering deliverables
Coordinating projects through their full product life cycle from concept to feasibility, execution and commissioning incorporating engineering, estimating, planning, procurement, and manufacturing functions.
What you will need
You will hold a bachelor’s degree or experience in Electrical Engineering or similar with ideally 2 years electrical / electronic work experience. You will be someone with a passion for solving complex problems, are solutions focussed and driven to provide excellent work within a team environment. You will have excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills and sound use of all Microsoft packages. Demonstrated experience in CAD, 3D modelling and printing skills will is essential. Your ability to thrive in a multi-facetted environment will ensure your success in this role.
