You will work across commercial construction sites in inner Melbourne, covering and assisting the current Site Managers. An opportunity for you to become more familiar with the process and procedures of a head contractor. It could be the perfect opportunity for you to develop into a lead Site Manager running your commercial project down the track. With diverse projects across health, institutional and commercial, it's an excellent area to start or develop your site management experience. The jobs aren't too big either so that you won't get drowned or lost in administration. Typical project values are $2m-10m. The head office is also in a prime location close to all transport links in Prahran. The Construction Manager described the team as feeling like everyone is pulling in the right direction and kicking goals. It's an exciting place to work. The Director wants his employees to come to work and feel part of something where everyone aims for the right goals. He still has a hand in projects, carries out business development and leads internal reviews. The team meets every Monday to set project priorities for the week. The Project Manager and CM are on hand for you to bounce ideas off. You will always have someone as a sounding board to help you with your work. You will immediately start work on a new commercial build and a medical centre. It's expected you will help out now and then on the tools. Therefore you must have experience as a Carpenter or similar and have worked on a construction site. The salary range for this role is up to a $120k package. Plus assistance with travel.
