Key responsibilities of this role include:
Review and analysis of technical requirements and needs. Development, review and update of design documents, including drawings. Programming of PLCs code as per the design to meet system requirements and technical specifications. Testing and correcting errors in the PLCs code within established testing procedures and and quality standards to ensure the system performs according to the specifications. Liaising with clients and third-party vendors on aspects of the design and construction, providing feedback or request for information to the designer Review of vendor’s specifications, technical information, datasheets, etc. Collaborating with the local and offshore software development team in Spain during the development, testing and commissioning activities of the project. Updating and maintaining end-user and O&M procedures and manuals. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.
Requirements:
Formal qualifications in engineering, or equivalent experience Over 2 years of experience in the design, development, integration, testing and commissioning of SCADA software and PLC-based automation and control systems. Previous experience in ITS/Tunnel projects (desirable). Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA or DCS technologies – Rockwell (Allen Bradley) preferable. Strong PLC Programming skills (e.g. Ladder, STL, Function Blocks) Office Tools: Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
