Role responsibilities:
Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects and proactively ensuring the application evolves and is increasingly robust -Identifying areas for improvement in existing software and subsequently developing these modifications -Technical planning and support of deployments of the software into gyms and cloud -Create new and extend existing technical documentation to support operations and rollouts of software system -Mentoring and code reviews for outsourced software developers -Design of software architecture and creating software designs from business requirements -In general, development, debugging, testing, maintenance and support of Fitbeat software systems
Requirements and qualifications: -Bachelor's degree or higher in software or computer engineering related field -At least 7 years of senior experience in software design and development -At least 5 of cloud and mobile software development experience -At least 3 years in a lead software engineering role -A demonstrable track record of building and maintaining highly scalable, performant and resilient software in preferably CouchDB, Kubernetes, Googe cloud, NodeJS. -Experience in analytics technologies, preferably Google marketing suite, Datadog and Active Campaign. -Experience in mobile development in preferably React Native with either specialisation in iOS or Android -General programming skills and experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred -We want someone who are solutions-focused, motivated, and who will guide us in ensuring the technology meets the growth demands of the product
