Roles and Responsibilities:
Administrating, engineering and operationalizing the snowflake cloud data platform including integration with associated aws services ·
Development and support of Datawarehouse and interaction with data lakes ·
Working closely with migration, ingestion and reporting teams to provide smooth functionality of snowflake by hosting service accounts assigning roles, warehouses as per the requirement. ·
Working on snowflake security, managing roles and permissions ·
Working on user onboarding and managing role base access controls. ·
Enabling the ready-to-work environment for Data Scientists and other data consumers using different JDBC/ODBC tools. Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals ·
Monitoring daily scheduled job alerts and acting in case of failures. Monitoring warehouse utilization and updating the configurations as per the requirement i.e., scaling in scaling out. Work closely with customers to understand their data requirements and enable them to utilize snowflake environment. Create the snowflake teams, service account, s3 buckets, storage integrations and aws objects like IAM users, IAM roles with respective policies. Work with other vendors to setup the environment. Scaling in scaling out snowflake warehouses. Work with application teams to create update network policies to whitelisting ip addresses. Troubleshooting the problems and improving the performance of application processes by debugging, tuning and tracing ·
Work closely with database teams on topics related to data requirements, cleanliness, quality etc.
Work on the critical incidents and user service requests and responsible for SLA adherence, tracking and reporting ·
Creating the gitalb teams and enable users for development in snowflake via CICD pipelines. Work closely with users to troubleshoot issues to access snowflake data using different tools like powerBI. Work with users DBT access and troubleshoot issues by investigating logs.
Using flyway templates to generate SQLs. Skill and Experience Requirements:
Experienced in snowflake administration objects like storage integrations, stages, network policies, file formats, ACL’s, user administration, time travels , RBAC, scaling in scaling out snowflake clusters.
5 years of experience with on-premises and cloud BIG Data services: Cloudera Hadoop, Snowflake Experienced in multiple database technologies such as Distributed Processing (Snowflake, CDH, HIVE, IMPALA, Spark, YARN, HDFS, Kudu, zookeeper, sentry), Traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL,)
Good understanding on SQL, PLSQL store procedures and functions. ·
3 years of experience cloud technology: AWS and Azure ·
3 years of experience with version controlling tools like GitHub and Gitlab, flyway templates. · Experience in working on DBTcloud project and administration. ·
