In order to be successful in the position the main duties, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Menu engineering and recipe generation, Overseeing of food handling, preparation, and storage ensuring all food safety and hygiene requirements are adhered to, Ensuring consistency and excellence in food presentation standards, Costing menus, and overseeing/implementing kitchen profitability measures, Managing the kitchen team - preparing and oversee rosters, leading, supervising, coaching, and developing for continual stretch and growth,
As the successful applicant you will have:
Solid experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment leading team, Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to liaise with F&B service teams and other departments as required, Relevant Australian Chef recognised trade qualifications, The ability to open the restaurant during breakfast period and close after dinner service, Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, Hotel experience will be highly regarded,
