As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financial and management accounting numbers. Working closely and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will learn all areas of the finance function.
Responsibilities of the Role:
· Assist the finance team including payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
· Provide timely financial reporting, budgeting, analysis and forecasting of cashflow for the overall company and individual sites
· Reviewing and improving financial systems, procedures, policies, and costs to maximise efficiencies
· Ensure there are effective systems of internal controls and cash flow management
· Preparing compliance matters including income tax, GST, FBT, superannuation and external auditors
· Managing the company’s asset registers and inventory
Required Skills:
1. Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) and undertaking or completed CPA/CA
2. Minimum 2 years accounting experience.
3. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
4. Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
5. Desire to improve processes and innovative approach to problem solving
6. A strong work ethic and a ‘make it happen’ approach
