About the Role This is a key role and an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated experienced and qualified Financial Accountant. As the Financial Accountant you will work closely with each department to monitor and analyse costs and you will report to the Director. The role is full time Monday to Friday. Key accountabilities include [not limited to]: General ledger, trial balances, profit and loss, balance sheet reviews and reconciliation Monthly review of AP/AR aged trial balances Margin and overhead costs analysis between departments Preparation and lodgement of the various monthly reports and obligations Prepare annual financial reports including budgets, forecasting and lease accounting Preparation of year-end tax calculation and assist tax agent to lodge company tax return Preparation and lodgement of FBT report, annual payroll tax, work cover remuneration Preparation and annual review of Insurance report and requirements Annual review of loan facilities Prepare notice of meetings Assist the Director by undertaking specific projects or presentations as required Ensure compliance with all Accounting standards and audit requirements Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation Ensure compliance with all taxation requirements and associated lodgement of relevant returns within required timeframes Assist office staff with any queries. Key Selection Criteria Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Commerce; minimum 4 years' experience within a senior financial accounting role in the commercial sector Fully qualified CA or CPA High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Xero Technical knowledge and experience in taxation New trends in accounting standards The ability to constantly review systems and processes for continuous improvement and best work practices Well-developed data analysis Excellent communication skills Ability to fit well into a small team and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically Well organised, efficient and effective Friendly and welcoming disposition A solid work ethic and positive hands-on approach Looking for long tenure.
