The Role & Responsibilities: Reporting into the the Finance Controller, you will play an integral role in supporting the wider finance team. The key outcomes of this role include: Reconcile bank accounts in line with frequency of statement Present for review with the bank reconciliations within a week of statement date Maintain commercial bills statement up-to-date Compare the daily banking statement with daily sales report and highlight differences Download Flexipurchase statement and import to finance system Assist Finance Managers in preparation of monthly management accounts Manage credit card purchase information in financial systems Provide information at year end to external accountant and any other tasks as required Benefits & Culture: Competitive remuneration package Eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan Full induction and training program to set you up for success Continuously develop your skills and knowledge with established online and face to face program in place Free state of the art gym at our Southbank Support Office Flexibly and hybrid work model - work from home The ability to work autonomously and drive your success To be successful in this role, you will have: 3 years experience as an Assistant Accountant / Accountant Qualification in Accounting required Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills Hands on experience in Accounting Software – at least intermediate skills in MS Excel, MYOB & ZERO Effective time management skills with a strong ability to prioritise Energetic, self-motivated and a very hands-on professional approach Realistic goal setting and achievement of goals A pro-active team focus approach The ability to build relationships and generate personal credibility with people at all levels, through a high degree of self-confidence, professional expertise and interpersonal skills Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision and a high standard of work ethics
