About the role: At MRM we’re looking for a Mine Geologist to join the team to assist our technical services department to advise on all aspects of grade control and deliver accurate information to our mining personnel. You will need to have a recognised tertiary qualification in Geology/Geoscience coupled with onsite geology experience, preferably within an open cut metalliferous mining environment. Previous exposure in an exploration role would be an added bonus. You’re an ambassador for safety – always keeping your mates safe in the workplace. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be responsible for: Liaising with key mining personnel to minimise dilution and maximise the grade and ore recovery Managing and developing the site Grade Control System is in line with the Mine Management Plan Managing statutory reporting requirements on exploration tenements and mining leases Developing side models, including Geology, Grade Control, Resource, OEF and Clay models Designing and managing drilling campaigns As a Glencore team member we want to set you up for success in a positive and empowering environment.
