Summary of key responsibilities:
Design, build, implement and configure complex IT solutions on our online learning platform (Moodle) and our digital micro credentials. Including front and backend web application platforms (javascript, React, Node.js, Express.js), cloud-based infrastructure platforms (AWS), database operations (MySQL), cloud microservices, network architecture, authentication, and cyber security. Testing, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors and faults in Java and javascript using JUnit and other quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification Writing efficient code in Java, javascript, React and documentation to meet the platform requirements, system designs, and technical specifications following Agile/Scrum methodologies with Laneway’s team Convert customer needs and user stories into technical requirements, assess solution options and approaches and lead decision-making on technology stack choices. Researching, building, and analysing the need to implement new systems and update the systems already in place. Integrating educational systems databases, Moodle and Axelerate using the APIs supplied.
Requirements: Bachelor degree and at least 2 years of software development experience with an agile team environment OR 5 years of highly relevant experience in lieu of qualifications. Experience with different front-end and back-end frameworks such as React, Nodej.s and Express.js. Experience with planning and writing technical documentation required for our software product usage and troubleshooting. Experience with testing, debugging and discovering cyber security vulnerabilities. Database design and programming skills using SQL OR NoSQL database technologies. Cloud management experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) along with ability to work with network programming and management in the cloud. Experience with GIT for version/source control.
