About the role:
With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Building and Construction Services team to work on our various projects based in SA. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be reviewing, initiating and managing your project and team ensuring the successful delivery of the project. This is a multi-disciplined role requiring experience in civil construction, demolition and building services.
This role would suit someone with demonstrated experience in a site manager position working on $10m projects. You will also need excellent time and people management skills, high attention to detail and a safety focused approach to work.
This will include:
Leading and managing internal and external contractors with effective and clear communication
Cost control, reporting, procurement and contract management
Prepare RFI, notices of delay, variations and EOT submissions working closely with the project manager
Provide weekly reports to client and Project Manager
Strategically manage the relevant projects through effective management of people and processes in a high-pressure environment
Problem solving and innovation as an individual and part of a team
A strong commitment to WHS and environmental standards
Developing positive relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
Working with a team, to ensure compliance with clients and McMahon Services’ safety, quality and business processes
Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow management
Writing and reviewing JSA’s and risk assessments
Read, interpret and communicate plans effectively
Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions for the project
Effective communication skills to build positive relationships with clients, project team, management, suppliers and subcontractors
Use problem-solving abilities to find innovative solutions
Certificate III in Carpentry or relevant trade experience
Able to take direction and work unsupervised while being able to be a team player that can also work autonomously
Construction White Card
Builders Licence for Commercial buildings up to 2 storey
Current Driver’s Licence
Senior first aid training
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and efficient use of MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel. Experience in Procore and Pronto or similar programs would be advantageous
Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment
Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance
Ability on occasions to travel within South Australia to our regional construction sites. In return you will be provided with additional LAFHA (living away from home allowance)
