The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Estimator who is driven to win projects. Although each day is different, you will be responsible for;
Thoroughly reviewing tender documents to develop and undertake accurate tender estimates, take-offs, and cost plans.
Initiating requests for quotation form subcontractor and/or suppliers
Reviewing & analysing subcontractor/supplier quotes and negotiate to obtain best prices.
Preparing detailed estimates, quantities, prices, costing for projects under the guidance of Elite Building Co’s Lead Estimator.
Providing subcontractor/supplier selections and recommendations to the project team.
Program and sequence work in a practical and efficient manner
Attending Subcontractor, team, and client meetings
Undertaking face to face, telephone and emails with clients, staff and subcontractors as required.
About you
In order to be successful in this role you will require the following attributes
Experience within fit-out and refurbishment is desired but not essential
Exceptional communication verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans and tender documents.
Good negotiating skills coupled with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure.
Work as part of a team
Financial management skills
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and work ethic
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Ability to resolve and handle conflict.
Flexibility, adaptability and ability problem solve.
Competency across MS Office suite
Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Project is beneficial but not essential
Trade qualified with either carpentry, shopfitting or estimating experience
