About the role
As part of our drafting team, the Junior Drafter will focus on updating standard drawings and models and can progress to more challenging tasks as understanding and proficiency improve. This is a complex civil product including many different components that are fabricated and assembled together. You must be a fast learner so that you can pick up the product design concepts and apply them correctly, and also so that you can understand and navigate the Inventor software.
The Inventor software package is used by our drafting team and experience with it is highly desirable, though experience with 2D and 3D CAD software is also acceptable. We will provide training on the product and internal drafting methods.
People with structural, civil and mechanical drafting experience are encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Updating standard drawings and models
Organising the document library
Assisting drafting team where required
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
6-12 months drafting experience in the use of Inventor (preferrable), or 2D/3D CAD software
Willingness to learn
An enthusiastic and positive attitude
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management, planning and organisational abilities and self-direction
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
Experience with MS Office suite particularly Excel
