As a Senior Data Modeller, your responsibilities include: Conduct and lead discussions with business leads, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to understand projects scope and Business Requirements. Translate Business requirements into Data Requirements. Understand the data elements and their domains; understand relationships among those elements and inter-dependencies between models. Use acquired knowledge and develop Logical Data Models, Physical Data Models, and Data Element Dictionaries. As well as designing and maintaining database architecture, data structures, tables, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data master files Design data models that align to business requirements, enhance business insights & its adoption, reduce data redundancy, maximise reusability, streamline data movements, optimise performance, and align with the enterprise information model. Oversee data mapping for data conversion from legacy data stores and formats to new data structures. Perform architectural alignment with enterprise formats. Coordinate efforts across teams that leverage multiple development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, etc.). Determine practicality and technical fit of developed standards and architectures. Support QA team in test cases & test data preparation and development team in unit and Integration testing. testing database systems and upgrades, such as debugging, tracking, reproduction, logging and resolving all identified problems, according to approved quality testing scripts, procedures and processes Establish & maintain repositories in a data modelling tool including but not limited to version & change controls, user access management, model management & curation. Implement & maintain metadata management processes in the data modelling tool inline with the Enterprise Information Management guidelines. Responsible for authoring the master data model and championing the best practices, standards & processes pertaining to the data modelling tool. implementing and administering database documentation, guidelines, policies and procedures troubleshooting and providing service support in diagnosing, resolving and repairing server-related hardware and software malfunctions, encompassing workstations and communication infrastructure preparing and maintaining documentation, policies and instructions, and recording and detailing operational procedures and system logs
For you to be successful in this role, you should have: Expert knowledge of various Data modelling techniques: OLTP (normalised), ODS, EDW (dimensional). Experience with Data Modelling tools such as ER Studio, Erwin or similar. Working knowledge in the creation of data infrastructure - such as views, stored procedures, ETL usage. Experience in system/business/data analysis related to data migration and data integration projects. Working knowledge of maintaining Erwin Data Modeller Workgroup edition with demonstrated experience in model management, versioning, security & standardisation for multi-user modelling. Experience with enterprise data management, governance, and BI/reporting tools. Knowledge of the development of data models compliant with non-functional enterprise requirements, such as security and performance guidelines. Deep understanding of data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, functional and system analysis. Understanding and hands-on experience of the Data Architecture, Data Quality, and Data Profiling concepts. Prior experience with telecom industry highly desirable. Overall technical competence to deliver data management solutions that adhere to Skillfield standards and excellent presentation skills. The ability to Plan, develop, configure, maintain and support the database management system in accordance with user requirements ensuring optimal data integrity, security, reliability and performance.
