Purpose of the Role:
Design, analyse, develop, test and demonstrate engineering solutions specific to Alstom's signalling subsystems for Melbourne Airport Rail, that derive and solve the requirements during the tender phase and through to execution. Provide cost and schedule estimates on engineering programs. Provide technical expertise in support of other departments.
In this role you will:
Review and comment on customer's SAPs
Review designs for subsystems for MAR
Participate in signalling and train control workshops with customer and stakeholders.
Reviews technical specifications, estimates costs and schedules, plans his/her own work and participates in engineering
Review designs as per program based on MTMs' design process
Participate in project design and application engineering activities
Provides technical expertise in support of Customer Service, Program Management , testing and commissioning, installation and systems assurance team.
Deploy the applicable engineering process, methods & tools on the project
Manage and participate in the Design workshops
Monitor RNA progress with functionality development specifically relevant to MAR
Highlight areas of concern with RNA engineering progress that may impact MAR
Provide support to the Project Engineering Manager on execution of technical activities on-shore and off-shore
Solve ATS technical issues detected by different core team members on MAR
During project warranty, coordinate actions to support resolution of pending technical issues following Project Warranty Manager (PrWM) requirements
Support PrQSM to consolidate the REX of the Project
Project QCDP (quality, cost, delivery and performance)
Project Specification, including Design documents & Projects V&V documents approval status
SAPs at IFC stage
Assessment results based on internal audits and process inspections (applied in the project)
To be successful in this role you will need:
Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or scientific subjects
Minimum 3 years experience as a systems engineer
Knowledge of CBTC
Bid experience
MTM train control design and test Competency
Cost and planning control experience in design scope
Train Control Design Process knowledge
Products and services knowledge on different market segments
