The primary function of this role is to support the business and users with their daily systems use, which extends beyond the desktop into the backend data centre. Beyond this, the role is to assist with the continued development and improvement of all in house proprietary applictaions.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing TMS; Test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults in Filemaker within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards; Support the data integrity of the TMS through problem identification and resolution recommendation. Continued development and improvement of the TMS system and any sub systems; Gathering new and existing user requirements and develop and implement a suitable solution; Configuring and setup new user workspaces; Creating and maintaining training documentation to help the users in the organization on how to use the newly developed application; Providing the staff with technical assistance on their day-to-day operation.
A successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:
Proficient with Filemaker development Proficient with MS Office Suite (OnPrem & 365) Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory 2000+ Proficient with Microsoft Exchange Server 2012 R2 and beyond Proficient with Microsoft Windows 10 & Windows 8, knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows XP Basic Understanding of VMWare - Deployment and Monitoring Basic Understanding of Network security. Strong understanding of Freight Forwarding and general freight profiles Hands on warehouse experience. Broad Knowledge of programming languages Broad Knowledge of consumer and enterprise hardware.
