Minimum Requirements: You must at least hold a bachelor’s level qualifications. A minimum of 2 years previous experience as in a similar role is essential. In this role your main responsibilities include: • Resolving any issues related to our infrastructure, both internally hosted and cloud-based. This includes things like: e-mail, printers, wired and wireless networks, video conferencing, and VPN. • Provisioning new-hire accounts as well as preparing workstations and desks for use. • Tracking and maintaining your office’s equipment inventory. • Providing technical leadership and guidance for live events and video conferences. • Researching new and innovative solutions to the technical challenges that arise. • Maintaining our technical facilities to the highest standard through cable management, workstation installations. • Learning from and educating your fellow team members. • Completing other technical projects and tasks as needed. • Work on remote desktops, active directory, PBX system, Office365, anti-virus & malware. • Knowledge of all Microsoft OS Platforms, Microsoft Office Suite and M365 (previously O365). • Support Tier1 and Tier2 issues related to hardware and software and applications. • Support & coordinating IT Projects. • Sharepoint support. • Supporting Logistics, Finance, Purchasing and HR systems. • End user and product support for printers and photocopiers. • VoIP telephony skills. • Android OS Support. • OS Server Support – Microsoft 2008 R2, 2012 R2. • Experience of Exchange Server 2012, Active Directory. • Support over 900 internal customers for their technical issues. • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time. • Event day support may be required from time to time. • Provide one on one training when requested. • Manage the IT recycling for the organization. • Manage and set up new hardware following IT policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a motivated ICT Systems Support Engineer with minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role. You will need to possess the following skills and personal attributes: • Interest in learning and taking on increasingly complex tasks. • Ability to work individually and within a team. • Undergraduate degree in a technical field. • Demonstrable knowledge of some or all of the following: Networking, WiFi, Apple, Windows, etc. • Independent ability to research technical problems and solutions. • Strong organizational and managerial skills and detail-oriented work ethic. • Willingness to work flexible / odd hours at times, based on needs. • Occasionally lift up to 10- 20 kg’s for equipment installation. • Ability to crouch beneath desks for workstation installation. • Ability to work on ladders for wireless system maintenance.
