ABOUT YOU Our ICT Security Specialists will perform their duties in Melbourne, Victoria. Their main responsibilities include establishing, managing, and administering the organisation’s ICT security policies and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, and to minimise the risk of internal and external security threats. They will conduct risk and security control assessments, interpret security policy to contribute to the development of standards and guidelines, review information system designs, provide guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks, provide specialist advice, and explain systems security and its strengths and weaknesses.
ICT Security Specialists carry out various tasks including, accepting responsibilities for the process, procedures, and operational management associated with system security and disaster recovery planning; liaising with security vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources; and analysing, recommending, installing, and maintaining software security applications and monitors contractual obligations, performance delivery, and service level agreements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS • Work with a diverse range of customers to identify and solve security problems. • Ensure that the customer’s key infrastructure is secured. • Monitor the customer’s ongoing managed service environment. • Undertake infrastructure and web application penetration testing. • Undertake vulnerability assessments. • Assist in preparing summaries and technical reports detailing security issues and providing recommendations. • Dark web and threat monitoring. • Perform incident responses as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Required). • Experience: 2 years minimum (Required).
