Educational requirements: Bachelor

English requirements: Competent English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 1-3 years

Required residence status: Temporary visa, Permanent resident, Citizen

Accept remote work: unacceptable

Skills & Qualifications: Intermediate to advanced software engineering skills in Python and/or Java Intermediate to advanced unit-testing experience Intermediate to advanced Linux skills (shell) Basic to intermediate skills with cloud (GCP/AWS) Good understanding of Docker and containerized applications and container orchestration engines Experience with API development using Java / Spring boot a bonus Activities & Duties: Scope and design data processing and automation software Develop new software, ensuring extensive unit-test coverage Follow coding conventions and version-control practices Implement new features/bug fixes to existing software Participate in code reviews for other team members Produce scientific / bioinformatics software into workflows Participate in stand-ups, scoping, planning and refining sessions Identify and implement improvements, both software and bioinformatic related
