Key responsibilities:
Under the guidance of manager and other relevant stakeholders; provide consultation and analysis for 3rd party and internally developed systems.
Ensure timely resolution of support requests.
As requested by management, define, deliver and maintain successful solutions in accordance with IT divisional and Investment Systems team requirements.
Enhancing the core systems & business processes for system related business units to ensure the generation of a scalable model for the enterprise.
Delivery of appropriate controls and governance over the usage of these systems from a business and technology perspective.
Delivery of development and miscellaneous project initiatives that provides momentum towards the enterprises’ desired business model.
Effectively participating in the change management process
Meet the explicit requirements of personal, team and Divisional objectives as outlined in a Challenger “Performance agreement”.
Knowledge Skills required: Practical understanding of n-tier application development theory, including;
Software development lifecycle
Minimum 4 years IT experience in a customer servicing role
Software configuration management
Release management
Coding conventions
Unit and functional testing
Application and data security
Practical knowledge of:
MS SQL Server, Oracle
VB Script, Powershell
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Knowledge of the financial services industry
Understanding of core financial services industry information system functions
Investment/financial markets and associated products
