Our opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Sydney team. You will be instrumental in delivering on Mirvac’s strategic goal of leveraging data and analytics, using their skills to manage the delivery of high value business outcomes while ensuring integrity, quality, security and compliance of our data and analytics assets.
Your responsibilities will include, and are not limited to:
· Build and optimize the full data pipeline which includes data transformation, data structures and the manipulation, processing, and extraction of value from datasets
· Perform data modelling and develop solutions which are scalable and follow best practices.
· Explore various data tools, including tools to help various customers interact with the data
· Align the data architecture within Mirvac’s enterprise data architecture principles
· Create reusable designs and framework for the Analytics team with a focus on speed-to-value
· Provide analysis and support for reporting and analytics utilising PowerBI
· Support the development of processes and standards for data ingestion, data modelling, data governance and data usage
· Lead ongoing data platform and tool optimization to future-proof Mirvac’s capabilities
· Apply software engineering best practices such as DataOps, CI/CD and version control to team’s delivery process
· Identify enhancements that will improve the user experience and enable a more accessible and scalable data ecosystem
Your point of difference
You will have appropriate tertiary qualifications and indicative industry experience including solid hands-on experience with cloud and big data platforms such as AWS and Snowflake & Matillion, as well as Azure Platform. You will have a strong understanding and experience in principles of dimensional modelling practices.
You will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and be a diverse thinker with the ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and complexity.
