The role is focussed on:
• Being an integral member of the National Tech Support team. • Working with the National Tech Support team to support customers on telephone, via remote computer link and in-office. • Assist sales staff in pre-sales security system design and ensure products meet customer requirements. • In branch product demonstrations and guidance to customers as required. • In branch project equipment staging as directed. • On-site technical assistance as directed. • On-site commissioning works as directed. • Prepare product and solution proposals. • Configuring, testing, evaluating, programming, building, connecting all CSM's products - CCTV, Access control, Alarms, Intercoms, electronic locking and networking equipment. • Assist with tenders & specifications- to extract information to produce product take-offs, topologies & systems designs & product recommendations. • Provide required upgrades and manage all change orders. • Assist Sales Staff and Customers with Training & Initiatives for Existing Product Lines and New Products • Assist with Technical Support Setup of Equipment for Trade Shows and in-branch. • Testing and assessing new products suitability for sale by the company. • Test and confirm product faults upon Customer returned and follow the Manufacturer RMA Process. • Maintain RMA and follow up Suppliers with Customers Returned Faulty Product. • Maintain RMA Records. • Prepare reports for all repair activities. • Ensure when Material Returned from Suppliers Equipment with Appropriate Documentation is Processed, and Customer contacted. • Communicate with Customers, Manufacturer findings with returned products. • Keep and Organised Process in Place for Incoming and Outgoing RMA Material. • This position from time to time may require interstate travel for training, exhibitions, or onsite assistance. • Continually work with Vendors to maintain latest knowledge & support on product lines. • Encourage teamwork and assist team members in field sales support activities. • Manage and coordinate personal actions to ensure that your behaviour, appearance, expenses, time management, product knowledge and performance are at all times of the professional standard required to maximise sales opportunities. • At all times act within the policies and financial authority guidelines of CSM. • Maintain a Clean Organised Work Environment. • Ensure Safe Work Practices are always followed for the safety of yourself and others. • Maintain Licences and Safety Cards for ability to assist customers directly on site as required. • Lifting Pushing Pulling Equipment is a requirement of this job.
