• Ensuring compliance of the project with both industry standards and specific client requirements, creating plans for development of customer telecommunications infrastructure, creating and keeping records of inventory, tools and stock needed for the project, conducting stock-takes and making sure the techs are outfitted with proper equipment to meet the client's standards liaising with high level stakeholders, vendors and suppliers making sure all necessary approvals are granted before commencing works on the project (council, client, service provider and asset owner's approvals), monitoring project progress and completion providing technical support to technicians in the field with regards to network troubleshooting and finding the best possible temporary and permanent solutions, liaising with local council representatives to discuss council requirements and verify the planned works that can proceed.
• compiling and presenting final deliverables to the client. Therefore, apart from technical expertise, you will be required to demonstrate the highest levels of end user and customer interaction, proactive workflow management and attention to safety aspects.
Entry Requirements You will need to demonstrate a minimum of 2-years of documented experience in the role of a Telecommunications Engineer Or Telecommunications Network Engineer while being able to meet the following criteria:
Possess the right to work in Australia (Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred)
Have a Construction Industry Induction White Card
Be able to pass a national police check
Be proficient in the use of VisRES and Novus cloud environments
Be proficient in the use of CRM software like Service M8, Oracle ETA or ConnectTeam
Be proficient in the use of Google Application package, Dropbox and OneDrive cloud software
Be proficient in the application of the G645:2017 Communication Alliance Industry Guidelines in the design process for Fibre-Ready Pit and Pipe Networks.
Proficiency interpreting engineering, survey and construction drawings.
Proficiency in HFC and fibre optic signal balancing and calculations.
Proficiency in FTTN knowledge faults, troubleshooting, jointing, nodes and pillar upgrades, and all the related NBN standards.
Design validation and BOMBOQ validation
Coordination of redesign and surveys
Coordination and adjustment of material requirements
Additional qualifications that are desirable for this role are:
• NBN Enable card, with active accreditations in HFC, FTTN and FTTP and occupational enable skills as Construction Project Manager; Earthmoving Plant Operator; Telecommunications Fibre Splicer; Telecommunications Linesworker - HFC; Telecommunications Network Engineer; Telecommunications Technician - HFC; Telecommunications Cable Jointer – Copper.
• Knowledge of industry equipment standards
• Knowledge of industry safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
• Solid IT skills in Microsoft Package References Details of relevant employment history with contacts to referees. Education and Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications Engineer or Telecommunications Network Engineering (desirable)
