What you’ll do:
• Maintain, support and repair technical equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors/cameras, A/V equipment and peripherals. • Install and deploy new equipment and perform hardware/software upgrades, configurations and installations to ensure all systems interconnect with equipment from various manufacturers, service providers and users. • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management. • Assess and recommend improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems • Research, analyse, evaluate and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured for optimal performance. • Analyse, develop, interpret and evaluate complex system design • Maintain computer hard drive images and regularly re--image machines. • Overseeing the company’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the company’s technological development, • Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements • Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions • Directs the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth. • Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as sales, marketing, production and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness. Provide leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and values. • Conducts research and case studies on leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation. Acts as a good steward of OWC resources and ensures control of IT and IS departmental budgets. • Managing the company's growing data network and IT systems. • Working with the our external and internal digital teams in monitoring all website network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance • May work in the call centre or remotely • Managing positive relationships with our external providers. • Maintaining accurate inventory database • Maintaining the Virtual 3CX solution, which is used internally for United Group. • Improving all United Group servers to continually secure all cloud-based solutions • Implement a monitoring system and be a point of escalation for all technical issues and train staff on how to fix and resolve minor issues
Ongoing requirements and skills you'll have:
• Technical expertise in designing and building IP capable networks • Appropriate telecommunications/call center qualifications or experience • Strong organisational and customer service skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • A Team player that is reliable, has a willingness to learn and take ownership of projects Understanding and experience supporting IT systems (Windows, Linux) and networks AWS cloud experience in either supporting or deploying systems is very desirable • If this sounds like you send your current resume and cover letter outlining your interest and availability.
