Software Engineer As a software engineer you would design, develop, modify, document, test, implement, install and support software applications and system.
Responsibilities: • Researching, consulting, analyzing and evaluating system program needs. • Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods. • Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification. • Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards. • Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures. • Providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costing for recommending software purchases and upgrades.
Skills Required: • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in IT highly regarded • Business orientation with strong IT background. • 3+ years’ experience in development or Support in a Financial Services, bank, cards, payments or any other environment. • Proven work experience as a Pega developer. • Advanced knowledge of Pega PRPC 5.x/6.x/7.x is desirable. • Experience in Pega Implementation cycle which includes PRPC deployment, development, testing, trouble shooting, migration, upgradation, and bug tracking. • Good understanding of Java J2EE is desirable. • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodology. • Experience working on CI/CD pipeline is good to have. • Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
