The Role
Your tasks and duties are include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance and health of the organisation’s network, Apply a high level of technical expertise to manage the day to day running of our data network environment, Prepare technical reports for management, Provide advice for any improvements on the network and computer systems, Provide advice and assistance on installation, application, configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting of hardware and software products, Install, configure, test, maintain and administer new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations, Establish network performance by designing and directing system installation; defining, documenting and enforcing system standards, Monitor and configure our networks to optimise performance and resolve faults, Evaluate and analyse our network to ensure that the network is operating at the optimal level, Use data models to configure and install computer systems to match the business needs, Assist with the preparation of network assessment and certifications install network hardware configure update code, Monitor the overall network ensuring that it is working at the optimal level, Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts, Make a record of the faults in network and the system, prepare documents for network tools and inventory, record the resolution of network problems, record the enhancement and changes in networks, Install computer programs to support business needs and requirements, Undertake recovery action in the event of a system failure, Provide instructions and procedures for maintenance of the system and networks, Ensure that all the networks and software applications, workstations and servers are upgraded and up to date, Establish control system access and security levels, Plan and implement maintenance and upgrades for system software and hardware, Provide general support, and Interpret and analyse various computer designs and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams to develop a computer system for the organisation. Who Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate will have:
a Bachelor Degree in IT, Engineer or other relevant qualification, at least five years of relevant experience and/ or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualification, a strong understanding of Data Network infrastructure technologies, self-motivation and an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, a strong desire and ability to continuously learn new products and technologies, strong technical skills, excellent and professional manners, a proactive, organised approach to managing and prioritising multiple competing tasks, an ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and familiarity with working at a high technical level on all phases of network operations.
