Responsibilities:
Dismantling engine assemblies, steering mechanisms, transmission systems and other associated components for examination
Detecting and diagnosing electrical/mechanical faults in engines and their components.
Repairing and replacing any worn out/defective parts as and when needed.
Referring to service manuals and adhering to the guidelines and procedures described therein.
Testing and fine-tuning serviced parts, once they have been repaired.
Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls, to enable on-site servicing, if required.
Diagnosing and testing all automatic components with the use of electronic instruments and computers.
Inspection of vehicles to prove roadworthiness, and conduct diagnostic checks to ensure no faults are present.
Performing scheduled maintenance services such as engine performance tunings, oil checks, changes and refills, lubrication works etc, to ensure the smooth running of the vehicle
Ensure compliance with all pollution regulations that are applicable.
Requirements;
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the domain or a similar equivalent. 2.Demonstrated light vehicle repair, service and maintenance skills including a solid understanding of petrol engines, suspension, transmission, steering and brake systems
Ability to read and interpret a broad range of vehicle service manuals
Ability to use computers for the purpose of diagnosing faults and testing vehicle parts
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Ability to prioritise workload to ensure customer and management deadlines met
Excellent customer service skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical mechanical issues to a broad audience
