Responsibilities:
• Concept to detailed engineering solutions for Residential building, Basement structures, Townhouse, and apartment structures up to 3 storeys.
• Structural analysis and design of various reinforced concrete, post tension, structural steel, Light gauge steel and timber structures
• Detail design and connection design for Middle east projects using British and American codes
• Attend Consultant meetings and conduct on Site inspections.
• Temporary engineering for Structural steel installation, Concrete formwork design
• Preparation of structural steel and Precast Erection statement
• Liaison and coordinate with Client, Architects, Engineers, Builders, and other trades for effective completion of Structural design and steel shop drawings.
• Coordinate with Overseas team to prepare RFI’s, plans, manage change request, and resolve queries related to structural steel shop drawings
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, ideally in designing structures for harsh environments, such as coastal areas or industrial sites.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, including AS/NZS 1170, AS/NZS 1664, AS 1720.1 and AS/NZS 4100.
• Knowledge of international codes such as BS 5950, AISC ASD, LRFD, Eurocode 1 to 4.
• In depth knowledge in preparation and coordination of structural steel shop drawing process. (Essential)
• Knowledge in handling design and detailing software’s such as Structural toolkit, RAPT, RAM oncept, Spacegass, Staad Pro, Idea Statica, Tekla Structure etc.
• Experience in onsite inspections and providing detailed reporting and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
• Attention to detail with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
