The role As a Senior Cloud Engineer in the infrastructure team you’ll help design and build new infrastructure to enable our new micro service architecture and data platform. We typically use Fargate/ECS for micro services and use sidecars with our containers to handle tasks such as logging and authentication. RDS or DynamoDB are our typical persistence technologies. Our new data platform is using the data mesh architecture where we use DMS, SNS/SQS for source data then use Glue, Lambda and StepFunctions to handle the data in the pipeline. This is overlaid with LakeFormation for governance and exposed via Athena to consumers. We use Buildkite for build pipelines and TerraForm for Infrastructure as Code. As a Senior Cloud Engineer in our Infrastructure Team, you will: Help to design, build and nurture our platform Build tools and templates to enable our teams to manage their own infrastructure Coach and mentor engineering teams to increase their cloud engineering and data engineering capability Have strong experience in AWS You'll be experienced in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Cloudformation. You’ll be eager to coach and mentor other Engineers Work full time Have 2+ years of relevant industry experience or a relevant qualification Be a fluent English speaker The ability to champion our values matters to us; we care about our team and you'll be joining a group of people who want each other to be happy and successful.
