Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate in the entire application lifecycle; focusing on coding and debugging Gather and address technical and design requirements; explain the technical trade-offs of different approaches, including estimating how long each will take to build Advanced understanding of emerging web technologies; manage cutting edge technologies to improve legacy applications Maintain, contribute and adhere to our programming best practices and guidelines; write clean code to develop functional web applications Work with a team of UI designers, programmers and server admins to bring brand new concepts to market Maintain confidentiality on all of the above, given the sensitive nature of the majority of projects
Technical Skills & Experience:
Bonus points if you’ve worked within the online gaming/cryptocurrencies and are proficient with Elasticsearch. Bachelor Degree in IT field or at least 5 years’ experience Ability to program confidently in a web languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Python, Java and Perl
Priority to Prospective Appointees with Experience of: Any MVC framework Integration with 3rd party API’s Operation within Agile development environments Knowledge of MVC architectures Experience in the development of at least one CMS framework or web application framework Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Enthusiasm for innovation in the tech industry, including continuous learning and improvement An understanding of the technologies and languages which power the web such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript Demonstration of experience with Git or another version control system
