The Role
Combined with your in-depth knowledge of underground mining and superior influencing skills you will establish credibility with your knowledge of process improvement methodologies and change management. You will champion and elicit stakeholder enthusiasm for change by communicating the benefits and demonstrating measurable results. Whilst quick wins will be a part of the process, so too will longer term visionary step changes that bring about a sustainable impact by integrating new processes to become seamless long-term benefits.
Your key responsibilities include:
Manage improvement initiatives that deliver quantifiable benefits to GFM operations. Develop the capability of A&I and Technical Services team members in analysis and improvement methodologies and techniques. Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities to increase production, development and services output. Analyse workflow process within the Technical Services team to help streamline the process and improve work output and key deliverables. Be a role model for the values and ensure A&I programs and services are aligned with the organisations values.
The successful applicants will have:
Degree in Engineering (Mining, Geology or Geotechnical ) Resource industry experience preferred. Underground hardrock mining experience ideal Training in Improvement Methodologies (eg Lean, Six Sigma, MBA) Demonstrate teamwork Strong communication skills Effective problem-solving skills Analytical skills and meet deadlines Competent in Microsoft software packages 3-10 years experience in applying Business Improvement techniques
