The day-to-day responsibilities will see you conduct support from a senior perspective to work on everything including Windows Server administration, password resets, VMWare management, Active Directory config, hardware rollouts and everything in-between. Alongside these support/BAU activities there will also be project based work whether that be cloud migrations (365, Azure, etc), platform implementations/roll outs (MS Dynamics, etc) or any other digital transformation/uplift piece.
Not just limited to hands on work, this role will see you take ownership of the technologies within your remit to enable you to (for example) create and implement frameworks, establish standards and consolidate the infrastructure as you see fit. A big part of this ownership is to be put on operational improvement to improve and upgrade the technologies in use (with cloud deployments [Azure] and cyber security both being a focus on the technical road map).

What you'll need to succeed

The Microsoft eco system (such as Windows Server, Active Directory, 365, SCCM, Intune, etc)
Azure and its eco system
Virtualisation technologies such as VMWare and its eco system
Infrastructure/networking technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, MPLS, VLan, etc
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Technical mindset
Working with stakeholders at all levels
Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
