Responsibilities: • Supervise the design team to deliver the required deliverables on time and in line with the company’s objectives. • Assist in the development of overall strategy for design management and technical matters. • Guidance and coordination on appropriate technical matters for identified projects with relevant departments. • Attend meetings with client, authorities, stakeholders, consultants on all technical issues as and when required. • Support with all design technical input in the development of projects / client requirements including design criteria, technical specifications, etc. for the projects. The project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Hunter region's history. It’s a game changer for local, regional and long-distance transport, unlocking congested Hunter roads and helping complete a traffic-light-free highway between Sydney and Brisbane. When completed, the M1 Motorway extension will bypass the congestion and merge points along this corridor and reduce traffic volumes across the existing network. Requirements: • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering degree is essential for the role. • Professional member of a recognised Engineers’ association or organisation. • More than 5 - 8 years’ managerial experience in engineering design for large scale construction projects. • Experience in pre and post contract design works, including tendering experience. • Professionals with strong contractor environment experience. • Experience in large scale infrastructure projects.
