Responsibilities:
Our internal design team undertakes detailed design and CAD drafting of council’s land infrastructure projects, including the design of roads, intersections, open spaces, footpaths, drainage, and public utilities using Civil3D and AutoCAD Engineering design packages.
The Technical Services section delivers diverse civil engineering design projects for all sections within council. We are currently seeking to appoint a Civil Engineering Designer to assist in the detailed design and drafting of a wide range of civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage and municipal infrastructure. You will be involved in engaging with a skilled professional team to contribute to the delivery of exceptional results.
Working within a multi-disciplinary design team
Coordination with council’s internal stakeholders
Detailed design of civil infrastructure projects, including the design of roads, drainage, cycle ways and sports facilities.
Requirements:
Diploma in Engineering Drafting or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design or equivalent.
Civil design experience including capability in all areas of Subdivisions, Drainage networks, Roadworks (including DPTI designs), Water Resources, Open Space, Coastal, Carparks.
Strong oral communication skills for liaison with external agencies
Experience conducting consultation with stakeholders
