Responsibilities:
• Conducting regular assessments of soil quality, crop health, and pest and disease control measures to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for remedial action. • Providing guidance on the selection and management of crops, including irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting techniques. • Developing and implementing crop rotation plans to ensure the long-term sustainability of the farm. • Monitoring weather patterns and providing guidance on optimal planting and harvesting times to maximize crop yields. • Developing and implementing strategies for managing and reducing farm expenses, including equipment maintenance and repairs, labor costs, and the use of fertilizers and pesticides. • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies, and making recommendations for their adoption where appropriate. • Providing training and support to farm staff on agricultural best practices and safety procedures.
Requirement:
• A bachelor degree in Agriculture or a related field. • At least 3 years of experience in agricultural consulting or farm management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A thorough understanding of horticultural practices, including soil management, crop rotation, and pest and disease control measures. • A solid understanding of farm economics and the ability to develop strategies for increasing profitability. • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
