BirdDog developed embedded NDI hardware and implements this into a wide range of high definition and 4K broadcast video converters, robotic pan-tilt-zoom cameras, and a suite of software products to tie end to end workflows together. NDI is a high-performance standard that allows anyone to use real time, ultra-low latency video on existing networks, enabling a step-change in the quality of video able to be implemented without a significant capital outlay. We are seeking a full-time qualified ICT Project Manager as BirdDog Cloud’s NDI-based Software Lead at our Melbourne office. The salary offered is $200,000 - $250,000 per annum plus super. This role encompasses management software engineering and team transformation and integration across existing software-enabled technologies, that requires active management, a keen eye for detail, real-world practical experience in developing software-enabled solutions within professional/commercial broadcast/production environments and an understanding of commercial environments and market pressures. You will be reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. The tasks and responsibilities of the role include: • Development and enhancement of existing BirdDog and NDI-based software enabled solutions • Development and improvement of NDI-based remote delivery and management software • Weekly and monthly reporting against key criteria development objectives • Regular input into the strategic software-enabled platforms • Management of technical and technology discussions with various global software teams • Able to work effectively across a global team • Working with entire engineering team on technologies to be implemented in future products/hardware revisions from proof of concept to implementation
Qualifications and experience of the applicant: • Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or Electronic engineering • OR five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification • Demonstrable software development experience in NDI-based software-enabled solutions • High-end A/V – Audio & Video – software-enabled application experience
