Description:
As a Technical Quality Engineer, you will consult to our top tier client base, covering all areas of the testing lifecycle in Automation, Performance & Security. Knowledge and expertise on all software delivery methodologies and test processes, you will use your testing capability to deliver large scale projects on schedule and to the highest quality.
Please note that if successful, you could be placed at any of our Australian based offices including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out and execute automated tests and performance scripts • Manage stakeholder expectations, keeping them informed throughout the project • Document and report progress, risks, issues, ROI and defects
Mandatory Skills & Experience - Automation: • In-depth experience delivering, developing, and executing quality test automation solutions with tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Ranorex, SoapUI, TOSCA, QTP etc. • A solid understanding of OOP development practices and demonstrable experience with Java, C# or similar • A good understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX • Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems and implement innovative solutions • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
Mandatory Skills & Experience - Performance: • In-depth experience delivering, developing, and executing performance test solutions with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter or SilkPerformer etc. • Develop and implement risk based performance testing for our clients • Deliver information to project stakeholders in a format they can understand • Deliver information to the technical team in a format they can understand • Setup application and system monitoring to identify performance bottlenecks • Adhere to Planit's high standard of delivery even in tight deadlines • Solve complex technical problems
Mandatory Skills & Experience – Security: • In-depth experience delivering, leading. Managing and executing test solutions across the Secure SDLC including applications, networks and infrastructure • You have an attacker mindset with the ability to think creatively • You have a strong understanding of vulnerabilities, common attack vectors and how to resolve them. • You excel at presenting and communicating complex information concisely and coherently • You have experience with industry standard tooling • You are comfortable developing new tooling to solve difficult problems • You don't do things the wrong way just because that's how it's always been done • You don't need a template to write a fantastic document • You are proud of the work you deliver
Desirable Skills for both Automation and Performance:
• Web Service and API testing • Service Virtualisation & Mobile Testing • BDD with tools such as Cucumber, JBehave and SpecFlow • Practical SQL and database experience • Experience with version control systems such as GIT or SVN • Exposure to Continuous Integration tools
