Due to numerous upcoming & existing projects we are currently very interested in hearing from experienced Telecommunications Field Engineers to boost our teams. We have multiple telecommunication projects including builds and maintenance work in Sydney Metropolitan & Country areas. We are looking for experienced people with a great attitude, who work well in a team and are committed to maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Applicants should have 1-2 years' experience with base station equipment on mobile telecommunication network sites with familiarity with Australian mobile operator's shelter layouts (including all ancillary equipment found in equipment shelters).
Responsibilities and duties:
Building mobile upgrades and Greenfields sites in the installation, commission, upgrade, integrate which includes working heights of installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers, installation and orientation of microwave dishes, installation of poles, towers and guyed masts. Maintenance of telecommunications vendor equipment including various testing of antennas feeder line systems, install and commission optical fibre links. Undertake installations of site upgrades including swapping out of vendor equipment and additions new equipment. Fault analysis / diagnosis, testing of the equipment and provide appropriate corrective action as and when required. Complete client handover documentation detailing the quality / standards have been maintained as evidence of completion of works Nokia 3G and LTE / 5G flexi base stations / Airscale / Install / Commission / Integration Ericsson WCDMA / LTE / 5G / BBU Build & Integration Strict adherence to OH&S Policies and be proactive and positive attitude to WHS on and off site.
Required qualifications are: Possess a general WHS Induction (White card) Valid Australian Drivers License RF Awareness Training
Advantageous qualifications are: TX Install, Commission & Integration Qualifications in associated works or trades will be highly regarded, especially electrical or telecommunications trades Working at Heights Training First Aid & CPR Certificates
