Role & Responsibilities
Designing and documenting solution proposals, with reference to a defined system functional baseline, to satisfy customer requirements and project/bid cost targets. Providing technical oversight to other teams ensuring that the designed solution is implemented as per the design and in accordance to the project/bid schedule and cost constraints Assembling the solution elements in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behaviour, interactions and performance to confirm that the requirements against which the solution has been designed are fulfilled Documentation of the specification and the engineering plans used to develop the solution, as well as Engineering Change Proposals and Requests Preparing and conducting specification reviews with our customers; lead technical working groups both internally and externally to define technical solutions What's required?
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline and relevant industrial experience in systems engineering or communication systems Demonstrated knowledge of the full systems engineering life cycle, from concept design, requirements capture and management, system and subsystem design, system integration through to test strategies and acceptance Ability to turn complex issues into an appropriate level of detail in a methodological manner through the application of structured systems analysis and associated engineering processes and tools Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong knowledge and use of requirements & defect management tools such as DOORS & JIRA Solid experience of developing real-time distributed systems in a highly complex, safety-critical environment (desired) Why Thales?
