Job Description: • Overall operation, management & responsibility for the kitchen • Ensure that the production and service of the food and dessert items matches the vision of the Group. • Design, plan and develop innovative and creative food and desserts recipes for the utilisation and adaptation by the Group. • Maintain highest quality Japanese food and desserts focusing on true original aesthetics of Japanese food culture made from authentic Japanese ingredients. • Decorate a wide variety of Japanese desserts to ensure highest quality visual presentation. • Manage budgets, cost analysis and reporting to restaurant management. • Monitor and order supplies, ingredients and equipment within agreed budgets. • Comply with all Health & Safety and Food Safety Requirements. • Hiring, training and supervision of staff Requirements: • 3 years work experience as Chef with solid experience in Japanese food and desserts • Sound experience in creating and decorating Japanese dessert items and assist the broader group in menu development • Experienced in hiring, managing, and supervising staff • Experienced in managing budget, cost, and stock level and reporting • Ability to handle pressure, and large volumes across restaurant cooking requirements • Suitably qualified with a highly relevant Diploma (or agreed equivalent) • Working knowledge of Food Safety, OSH standards • Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
