Job Description:
• Developing creative menus in seasons, designing limited seasonal menus and dishes • Estimating food and labour costs, monitoring food stock, and place orders • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages; ensuring appealing plate presentation • Supervising the food preparation, overseeing and supervising all kitchen staff, delegating tasks to kitchen staff • Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff • Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures • Preparing and cooking a wide variety of menu items in a timely manner • Monitoring hygiene regulations, selecting and training staff, and ensuring catering staff are working safely at all times • Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance • Assist with the implementation and planning of menu changes
