Position Responsibilities:
In the role of Technical Drawing and Design, you will utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to generate 2D and 3D technical drawings and models specifically tailored for water infrastructure projects. You will be proficient in designing (CAD) software to create 2D representations, interpreting engineering designs, sketches, and specifications to produce detailed drawings essential for construction and implementation. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing layout plans, elevations, sections, and other visual depictions of water systems and structures.
The position requires meticulous maintenance of accurate and well-organized project documentation, encompassing drawings, calculations, and revisions. This includes the responsibility to update and manage drawing libraries, ensuring the engineering team has easy access to the latest versions.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Design Drafting, with a specific emphasis on expertise in Autodesk Inventor. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Additional certifications relevant to the role are considered advantageous. While previous experience in water sector projects is highly desirable, a fundamental willingness to learn about the water industry is essential. Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other drafting tools for creating technical drawings and models is a key requirement. A strong grasp of engineering principles and concepts related to water infrastructure and systems is also expected.
