Educational requirements: Diploma or trade qualification

English requirements: Competent English

Requirements for skilled employment experience for years: 1-3 years

Job Descriptions: - Maintaining the quality of dishes by inspecting ingredients and presentations - Ensuring effective communication with kitchen team members and food service staff for the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen - Sharing ideas and collaborating with the Head Chef and restaurant manager to plan and update menus, including daily specials - Ensuring high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen area - Training other kitchen staff, juniors, and apprentices - Ensuring food stock is kept at correct and controlled temperatures to avoid spoilage - Preparing, cooking, and seasoning food using various garnishes and sauces - Demonstrating knife handling skills with the use of specialized kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, etc. Requirements: - A current and up-to-date food safety handling qualification - A highly professional manner, grooming, and hygiene - Flexibility and adaptability to the fast-paced and dynamic restaurant industry - A strong knowledge of food - A team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude - Previous experience in a similar role for a minimum of 3 years - A Certificate IV or Diploma in culinary or a related field.
